Mecagis has a wide range of standard nanocrystalline cores for use in common mode chokes.

Mecagis has a wide range of standard nanocrystalline cores for use in common mode chokes.

Nanocrystalline cores offer a number of advantages over comparable ferrite materials in RFI filtering applications, including improved insertion losses at low frequencies, higher permeability, higher saturation and improved inductive behaviour near the self-resonance frequency.

As a result, the volume of the core can be reduced by 50 to 80% when ferrite is replaced by an appropriate nanocrystalline core.

Nanophy cores are available from compact devices with 12mm external diameter up to giant cores with 200mm external diameter and 60mm wide.
