Minicom Advanced Systems has appointed Rackit Technology Corp as one of its national distributors for the US market.

Minicom Advanced Systems has appointed Rackit Technology Corp as one of its national distributors for the US marketplace Under the agreement, Rackit Technology will sell the full range of Minicom's KVM solutions

The company will also sell Minicom's audio video distribution systems for the digital signage market.

Minicom pioneered the introduction of KVM over Cat5 cable technology to the KVM field.

Today the company offers the largest selection of KVM IP and Cat5 solutions available anywhere, including the popular Smart Cat5 KVM switches, Cat5 based matrix systems, and Cat5 KVM extenders.

Minicom has applied its expertise to a new line of superior KVM/IP enabled access solutions for the high-end data centre management market.

The KVM.net solution currently includes the KVM.net Manager and the Smart IP Access.

KVM.net Manager centralises management of IP access to the servers and network devices.

Smart IP Access is an IP gateway that provides KVM/IP access to the KVM infrastructure.

Next quarter, Minicom will be releasing the PX, a single server dongle that enables NxN nonblocking access for any number of users to any number of servers.
