MLDesign Technologies has produced a new MLDesigner evaluation CD-ROM that can be used with Windows computers.

MLDesign Technologies has produced a new MLDesigner evaluation CD-ROM that can be used with Windows computers.

The new CD-ROM temporarily installs a temporary Linux operating system on a Windows computer and then loads MLDesigner for use.

While in operation, MLDesigner accesses Linux files from the CD-ROM.

After the evaluation, MLDesigner and all Linux files are removed from the host computer.

Currently, MLDesigner runs only on Solaris and Linux; a Windows version is in development.

"This new self-booting Linux demo lets users who do not have immediate access to Linux or Solaris computers evaluate MLDesigner", said Colin K Mick, MLDesigner Technologies CEO.

"With this new CD potential customers can explore included demonstration systems, and, if they wish, build new models free of charge for 30 days.

The only limitation is that models cannot be saved because the entire program runs from the CD-ROM", The evaluation CD contains a complete functional version of MLDesigner, including discrete event, data flow and continuous time design domains, a library of more than 2000 design blocks and 400 demonstration systems, and complete documentation.
