Interface animates design models
A new interface links MLD's MLDesigner architectural design tool with the Altia graphics animation tools.
MLDesign Technologies (MLD) and the High-performance Computing and Simulation (HCS) Research Laboratory at the University of Florida announce the availability of an interface that links MLD's MLDesigner architectural design tool with the Altia graphics animation tools The interface allows architectural design/simulation models developed with MLDesigner to drive graphics animation models developed in Altia

CD-ROM allows cross-platform software evaluation
MLDesign Technologies has produced a new MLDesigner evaluation CD-ROM that can be used with Windows computers.
MLDesigner now has direct interfaces to Altia, Matlab and MLDesign's SatLab satellite and wireless design environment.
MLDesigner also has interfaces to convert design files developed in BONeS.
COSSAP and Ptolemy Classic and a Berkeley Socket interface that can be used to directly exchange data with other networked applications.
The MLDesigner/Altia interface was originally developed by the HCS Lab at Florida to provide detailed animation of an HCS-developed model of a new satellite processing system for space-based radar.
The satellite design project is the latest in a series of complex system design projects conducted by HCS with MLDesigner.
Under an academic partnership programme, MLD provides HSC with free copies of all MLD software for teaching, student projects, and sponsored research projects.
Other HCS projects using MLDesigner span a variety of architecture and network modeling efforts and system simulation studies, including high-speed networks such as InfiniBand and RapidIO, optical avionics networks and components, cluster and grid systems, parallel and distributed processing application scripts, processor architectures etc.
