Comprehensive choices of interface and power requirements ensure suitability for almost every application requiring a compact printer.

The Martel MCP8000 series printers provide a choice of communications interfaces, including cabled RS232 or 3.3V logic, infra-red choices of HP IR, IrDA physical layer through to IrObex, and wireless communications with Bluetooth.

Power choices include nickel metal hydride cells which allow continual recharging without memory effect, alkaline cells, external 5V DC, or vehicle supply operation.

All models in the series are housed in a freshly designed and compact ABS enclosure and incorporate a fixed head print mechanism, ensuring quiet maintenance-free operation with high-speed and high-resolution printing combined with high reliability.

Many different modes of operation are possible, including numerous character sets such as Aerial, Roman 8 and ECMA 94, print density/current consumption control, sleep mode, character scaling and barcode printing.

Typical applications include portable medical analysers, industrial test equipment, delivery vehicle receipting and taxis.

All units are manufactured in an ISO9000:2000 certified environment at the UK factory of Martel Instruments, which specialises in the customisation of all product features for specific applications.
