Agreement brings HMI software to Indian market

As a partner of Tilcon, Mistral will make available the Interface Development Suite and the Embedded Vector Engine from Tilcon.

The Tilcon Interface Development Suite (IDS) is a multiplatform user interface technology (GUI and HMI builder) that delivers robust, highly interactive user interfaces for real-time and embedded applications and the Tilcon Embedded Vector Engine (EVE) manages the rendering of user interface screens, primitive draw functions, animations, user events, dynamic language updates and more.

It represents a separate binary, which is not bound into application code.

"The association was launched in the last quarter of 2005, and with infrastructure and strategies for product positioning of these products now in place, Mistral is all set to take the Graphic Designer market by storm", said Mujahid Alam, Vice President - Sales at Mistral.

"Embedded graphics development is starting to become the domain of the graphics designer, and not only the software engineer".

"Most graphic designers do not write or understand code".

"Tilcon's Interface Development Suite addresses this issue by allowing them to implement and simulate their screens without writing code".

"The resulting screens are then passed to the engineers who use the Communications API to animate and connect the graphic designer's screens", he added.

"Mistral's association with Tilcon not only provides a road map to the existing Tilcon clientele in India, but also makes significant gains in the automotive, medical, industrial and defence markets".
