Passive role for McCormack at Micromark

Micromark C and CD has appointed Kevin McCormack to Marketing Manager, passive components.

Micromark C and CD has appointed Kevin McCormack to Marketing Manager, passive components.

Kevin will manage a team of four experienced business development managers and product controllers emphasising the company's commitment to supporting and developing key passive component franchises including Murata, Kemet, AVX and Panasonic.

One of McCormack's key tasks is to ensure the delivery of the optimum value for Micromark C and CD's customers as packaging and pricing vary and new component generations including lead-free emerge.

McCormack joins from his previous position as European product manager for passives at Avnet Electronics Marketing, having worked there since August 1998 as a product co-ordinator for semiconductors and product specialist for passives.

Prior to joining Avnet, he worked at PC distributor and value added reseller Watford Electronics, fulfilling marketing and product management functions in the hardware and software divisions.

Micromark C and CD Marketing Director Alan Jermyn welcomed him to the company, saying, "Kevin combines technical awareness with formal marketing qualifications and has excelled in roles where his flair for original thinking have led directly to greater profitability.

I am sure he will do well with Micromark C and CD and make a significant contribution to our business".
