New surface mount chip inductors enable designers of mobile communications and high-frequency telecomms equipment to tune their products at the design stage and never tune them again.

New surface mount chip inductors from Micromark C and CD enable designers of mobile communications and high-frequency telecomms equipment to tune their products at the design stage and never tune them again.

Murata's LQP15 range of close-tolerance thin-film chip inductors has been enhanced with the addition of a selection of +/-0.05nH tolerance devices.

Values ranging from 1.0nH up to 3.9nH, deliver high values of Q, between 28 and 50 at 1.0GHz, an improvement of 50% over the previous range.

Low stray capacitance and close inductance distribution give the LQP15 range a self-resonant frequency in excess of 6.0GHz, providing stable inductance in high frequency circuits.

Great mechanical strength, stability and reliability, as well as strong high-frequency performance makes the LQP15 range suitable for demanding applications such as Bluetooth modules, power amplifiers and SAW filters.

The devices are the most lightweight available, at just 0.61mg and are packaged in the compact 0402 style.
