The world's smallest surface mount tantalum capacitor is now available from Micromark C and CD.

The world's smallest surface mount tantalum capacitor is now available from Micromark C and CD.

Measuring from just 0.85 x 1.6 x 0.85mm, TACmicrochip from AVX is ideal for instrumentation and medical applications where board space is limited and temperatures are high.

The TACmicrochip range offers standard capacitance values ranging from 0.47 to 68uF with rated voltages from 2 to 16V.

It also presents design engineers with the highest energy store available in a 0603 or 0805 package together with enhanced high-frequency operation through unique ESR performance with temperature and voltage stability.

The recently launched range is available from Micromark C and CD, sampled in a round tin, together with a credit-card-size CD-ROM.

This enables the user to research values via a matrix, download datasheets in a pdf format and link to the AVX website.
