Clip gets a grip on thermal management
Micromark C and CD has a novel patented screwless clip to enhance the thermal performance and reliability of power electronic components when attached to heatsinks.
Contact inserts are available from 3 to 64 connectors plus earth contact, and in a variety of current ratings from 10 to 100A to serve signal and power applications.
Pin rated voltages range from 12 to 1000V.
All HTS series connectors meet UL, CSA and SEV approvals, and feature leading grounding contacts, rounded pins for safe socket entry, and clear contact identification through printed markings on both termination and wiring sides.
Inserts are made from UL94V0 compliant glass reinforced plastic.
Copper alloy contacts may be silver, gold or tin plated for optimal performance and durability, and a choice of screw, crimp, wire-wrap or solder connections are available.
The HTS housings are produced in die-cast aluminium or zinc alloy for maximum ruggedness, and powder coated silver-grey as standard.
Black, corrosion resistant coating is also available as an option.
These housings achieve protection against water ingress up to IP68.
Locking options include side or central locking, central locking with additional security, or a screw lock.
Further options include a choice of side or straight cable entry, mating options including surface mounting, socket mounting or cable-to-cable.
The full HTS range also includes IP68 plastic or brass gland fittings, code pins, guide pins and bushes.
Suitable crimping tools, as well as insertion and extraction tools, all produced by Tyco to support its connector ranges, are also available from Micromark C and CD.
