Based on its relationships with world-class vendors such as 3M, Hitachi and Toshiba, Micromark C and CD adds expert FAE support to help designers make the most of this technology.
Micromark C and CD has recently added Toshiba high-performance CompactFlash cards in versions that meet the portable storage requirements of applications operating across the industrial temperature range.
It is offering memory densities of 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 and 512Mbyte designed for use at temperatures ranging from -40 to +85C.
As a result, they can address a wide variety of high-density, portable storage requirements in applications that range from industrial control to telecommunications equipment.
In common with existing Toshiba CompactFlash cards, the new cards offer the industry's highest performance operation, with sustained read and write speeds of up to 5.6 and 2.9Mbyte/s, respectively.
Power consumption is only 30mA typical during a read operation, 1.0mA typical in sleep mode, at 3.3V.
Interconnect support comes from 3M, and Micromark C and CD has added the recently introduced CompactFlash Card Header Type II.
These headers meet CFA specifications and mate with Type II CompactFlash cards, plus alternative storage devices such as micro and I drives.
They are available with an optional 2mm PC board standoff allows population of board space under mated header and guide rail grounding clip insures electrical contact to PC board ground pads.
Micromark's range of 3M headers includes versions with long guide rails, and an optional snap close retainer clip for mobile or high vibration environments.
Optional ejectors are also available to help ensure easy withdraw of Compact Flash CF cards.
