A new miniature delta ribbon connector/cable system designed for use in high level applications is now available from Micromark C and CD In I/O applications where space is at a premium, the fully integrated MDR range provides reliable high-density shielded connectors, plugs and cables suitable for the drives, controls and industrial equipment markets

The 3MT MDR mini delta ribbon system from Micromark C and CD is based on a staggered 0.050 x 0.075in grid spacing and occupies up to 50% less PCB space than existing industry standard delta ribbon Centronics style connectors.

Featuring high-density interconnection lines and low contact resistance to ensure high I/O reliability, the MDR system uses flexible, preloaded contacts for reliable repetitive plugging/unplugging.

The 3M Scotchflex MDR mini delta ribbon system is available in 14 to 100 ways in a variety of board-mount and wire-mount versions.

A selection of complementary cables, backshells and mounting hardware complete the range.

The system is available as individual components including a unique cable-mount, solder bucket connector accepting 24-30 AWG wire, or as cable assemblies that are designed to meet specific customer requirements.

The system offers three levels of EMI and ESD shielding, a current rating of 1A and an operational temperature range of -20 to +85C.
