A new series of high-voltage ceramic chip capacitors supports up to 1000V in a tiny 0805 package for power supplies, high-voltage coupling and DC/DC convertors.

The new multilayer capacitors offer high capacitance with low leakage current as well as low ESR at high frequency.

The Kemet ceramic chip capacitors offer a stable operation in high voltage applications ranging from 500 to 3000V and feature an operating temperature range of -55 to +125C.

Available in 1pF to 0.010uF in COG and 10pF to 0.22uF in X7R, the chip capacitors are available with case sizes ranging from 0805 to 2225 across both dielectrics.

Supplied unmarked, but with the option of customised laser marking, Kemet ceramic chip capacitors are available in tape and reel packaging, compatible with automatic placement equipment.

Bulk cassette packaging is also available for 0805 for those pick and place machines requiring its use.

In addition, 0805 and 1206 case sizes are suitable for either reflow or wave soldering processes, with 1210 and larger limited to reflow soldering only.

All sizes incorporate the standard Kemet barrier layer of pure nickel with an overplating of pure tin for excellent solderability and are suitable for use in telecommunications equipment, industrial control applications and analogue and digital modems.
