Micromark C and CD has new Weidmuller PCB terminal blocks with pure tin-plated pins for use in lead-free soldering processes and SMD techniques.

Available in a variety of pitches, the connector pins are just 1.5mm in length and require minimal soldering paste, making them ideal for double sided assembly methods.

Micromark C and CD's range of compact Weidmuller, lead-free terminal blocks include the S2L-SMT plug connector with a 3.5mm pitch, the SL-SMT fixed pole pin header, ideal for reflow soldering and the SL-SMarT 5.0mm modular plug connector, offering 100% continuity within the SMT production process.

Constructed from heat-resistant, halogen-free insulating material LCP GF (liquid crystal polymer + glass fibre), the soldering pins have been proven to be resistant to 290C in an immersion bath test (2 x 30s) in accordance with IEC/EN61760-1, Class 1.

As a result, the terminal blocks are ideal for conventional reflow processes as well as lead-free soldering processes.

In addition, this material is also dimensionally stable for all pole versions, due to minimal thermal expansion properties.

Gold plated contacts are also available, along with tape and reel packaging for pick and place systems.
