Two new M-Modules are suitable for a wide range of applications requiring digital I/O or analogue switching.

Two new M-Modules are suitable for a wide range of applications requiring digital I/O or analogue switching.

The M81 has 16 opto-relay outputs and the M82 features 16 binary inputs.

The M81 M-Module comes with 16 opto-relay outputs, including 500V DC optical isolation from the system and 100V DC between channels.

The outputs can switch DC as well as AC voltages between 0 and 36V per channel, and can also be used for analogue signals.

In addition, the channels - specified for 500mA output current - are completely protected against excess heat and short circuits.

The M81 works with parallel transmission and supports very fast, spike-free switching of relays, lamps or other loads.

The M82 M-Module comes with 16 20kHz inputs, including 500V DC isolation from the system and 100V DC between channels.

A current limit for each input guarantees an input voltage range of 0 to 40V.

Each input signal edge generates a maskable interrupt for each channel and the voltage-sensitive inputs have a hysteresis function.

MEN supplies both M-Modules for the extended temperature range of -40 to +85øCas standard.

A wide range of driver software covers Linux, Windows NT, 2000 and XP, VxWorks, OS-9, QNX and RTX.

Typical applications for the M81 and M82 include high-end simulators, automated test equipment and PLC-like platforms with different voltage requirements.
