How easy can a control relay be?

Moeller Electric has introduced the EasyKit, a starter kit for the popular and very user-friendly Easy control relay.

Easy is ideal for any application requiring sequence control, batch control, timers or time switches, used for example in building environmental control and machine control.

Unlike a conventional PLC, Easy allows user selection of timing sequences without the need of specially trained engineers, freeing up valuable time.

With the new starter kit realising applications is now even 'easier'.

The kit has everything a user needs to get started, comprising: Easy 412 in a choice of 115/230V AC or 24V DC versions, EasySoft programming software, leads, user manual, and a complete applications and reference guide.

The Easy 412 series features eight inputs, of which two can be defined as analogue inputs, and four relay outputs.

Its eight timers cover a range from 10ms to 99h and support the following functions: time delay to switch on, off time, and flashing or pulsed modes.

The unit also has a number of seven-day time switches, eight counters displaying 0 to 9999 and eight analogue comparators.

A communications module option can also provide remote control of the relays via a bus network.

Configuring Easy couldn't be simpler and is done using the keys on the front of the unit.

The control circuit is then displayed on an integral LCD display.

The unit has space for up to 41 lines of control, providing sufficient space for a whole host of applications and for any subsequent modification and extension.

Rapid set up and programming is facilitated by EasySoft running on a PC.

Password protection is available to prevent accidental modification of the control circuit.
