Joystick answers vibration concerns
Thanks to a new four-way joystick recently introduced into the RMQ Titan range, engineers at Jones Engineering near Doncaster have significantly improved the control of their agricultural machine.
Smart look for panel-mounting controls
New additions to the popular Moeller RMQ-Titan range of control circuit devices include joysticks, four-way pushbuttons and selector switches.
Cables are simply pushed straight through the membrane, which closes tightly around the cable to create a seal that provides protection to IP65.
This not only reduces installation time and cost but also ensures a high level of protection against dust, moisture and chemicals.
Optional cable glands meeting the new EN50 262 standard can also be fitted.

Miniature enclosure additions provide more choice
Moeller Electric claims the latest additions to its CI-K range of miniature enclosures make it the most comprehensive range of enclosures of this type available on the market.
Sensor interface makes programmable relay easier
Moeller Electric has introduced an AS-I module for its Easy 600 range of intelligent programmable relays.
Metric cable entry knockouts positioned top, bottom and in the rear of the enclosure facilitate easy installation.
A choice of the push-through membrane or hard knockout versions provides added flexibility.
Moeller has also introduced hard plastic plugs for use with the push-through membranes.
These blanking plugs can be fitted above the membrane and flush with the enclosure case, to prevent items such as fingers and screwdrivers from being inserted into the enclosure via unused cable entry knockouts.
The enclosures are fully insulated with no need to earth, while a halogen free, glass-fibre reinforced, self-extinguishing polycarbonate casing provides a high level of safety and robustness, superb chemical resistance and is corrosion proof.
This gives resistance to flaking or rusting which is particularly important for the food industry.
Flexibility and ease of mounting is facilitated by a choice of mounting rails and plates, together with fixing holes for vertical or horizontal positioning.
Additional features to simplify installation include captive cover screws, base fixing centres printed on the base, rubber feet on the base to compensate for wall unevenness and an external fixing bracket.
All models have a shallow base unit, which provides ease of connection to the devices mounted in the enclosure.
Abrasion-resistant markings to customer specifications can be provided, with texts and graphics laser printed on the enclosure surface.
A novel design feature is the inclusion of moulded eyelets on the top of the base and cover of the enclosure.
Passing tie wraps through these eyelets effectively forms a temporary hinge for the cover allowing maintenance engineers to access the contents of the enclosure, while keeping the cover firmly attached to the base.
Five basic enclosure sizes with different heights, ranging from 80 x 120 x 95 to 200 x 280 x 160mm, respectively, ensure easy selection.
