Save space with shrinking USB connectors
The new series of mini-BTM USB connectors from Molex take up only about 1/8th of the space of standard USB-B connectors.
They are ideal for the high density, high current requirements of today's telecommunications and networking equipment, including backplanes.
Mini-Fit-CPI connectors feature phosphorous bronze terminals that can handle up to 8A per terminal depending on circuit size and will not twist in PC board holes.
They can be applied to PC board thicknesses of 0.094in and up.
Blind mating capability simplifies wire-to-board and board-to-board assembly.
Surface-mount-compatible housings will not melt or deform when other components on the PC board are wave or hand soldered.
Available with tin or gold-plated contacts and with 4 to 24 circuits, these connectors are intermateable with Molex's Mini-Fit, Jr and Mini-Fit BMI receptacles.
