The new range of SlimStack 0.4mm pitch connectors from Molex deliver about a 30% PCB real estate space saving when compared with similar 0.5mm versions.

Designed for use within applications such as mobile phones, PDAs, notebook PCs and other mobile devices, the new series is available in several mating heights ranging from 1.5 to 4.0mm in circuit sizes ranging from 40 to 120.

The new SlimStack 0.4mm version is part of Molex's broader line of SlimStack board-to-board connectors that include families on 0.5, 0.635 and 1.0mm pitches with mated heights up to 20.00mm.

As the newest and smallest member of the SlimStack family, the 0.4mm connectors offer many of the same features as the other versions such as gold plating and variable stack heights but in a more compact design.

SlimStack 0.4mm is available in straight and right angle versions with options such as solder tabs and PCB pegs.

The smallest circuit sizes feature a unique metal friction lock that provides added mating retention for portable applications that are subject to shock or vibration.

A durable gold plated blade on beam terminal design provides secure mating contact.

This series also features strong solder joints for secure PCB retention and an anti flux design.

SlimStack 0.4mm is rated at 50V/0.3A with a 30V right angle version.

The connectors are delivered in embossed tape packaging for pick and place assembly.
