The new DMS-59 connector system allows reliable connection of dual monitor systems.

The new DMS-59 connector system allows reliable connection of dual monitor systems.

VESA, the Video Electronics Standards Association, has chosen the DMS-59 system interface as the proposed standard for connecting both digital and analogue multiple monitors to low-profile PCI and AGP graphic cards.

This connector features Molex's LFH (low force helix) contacts, which are widely used throughout the industry in a broad range of applications.

As per VESA's standard for multidisplay interfaces, the connectors' design has a voided pin, which is used as the keying mechanism.

This connector system consists of a 59-circuit receptacle and cable plug adapter and meets the VESA requirements for impedance, crosstalk and skew.

Molex has three adapter assemblies available: DMS-59 to two DVI-D receptacles, DMS-59 to two VGA receptacles, and DMS-59 to one DVI receptacle and one VGA receptacle.
