The new interconnect system is used with 10 Gigabit XFP small form factor pluggable modules, and is referenced in the XFP Standard.
The devices are ideal for connecting switches, routers and other storage equipment.
The right-angle SMT connectors feature a 0.8mm pitch, 30-position design.
Both the XFP modules and host system are hot-pluggable.
The XFP host connector adds to Molex's growing family of 10 Gigabit solutions that includes the 70-circuit XPAK/XENPAK connector.
