HyperJack 1000 modular jacks feature a novel integrated magnetics design for 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet switches and network interface cards The shielded Hyperjack 1000 modjacks meet the EMI requirements of FFC 15 class A on 48-port line cards
These modjacks use a minimum of four transformers and four chokes to achieve the required electrical specifications of Gigabit Ethernet, which include insertion loss of -1.5dB at 80MHz; near-end crosstalk of -30dB at 100MHz; return loss of -10dB at 100MHz; and common-mode rejection of -30dB at 100MHz.
Molex is also developing a version of the HyperJack 1000 modjack specifically for voice over IP (VoIP) applications to meet IEE802.3af, the standard for transmitting voice communications over a network using open standards-based Internet protocol.
