The new Mini-Fit BMI slide-and-lock receptacle from Molex offers reliable panel retention and blind mating.

The new Mini-Fit BMI slide-and-lock receptacle from Molex offers reliable panel retention and blind mating, and is ideal for power supplies, fan tray assemblies, gaming equipment, backplanes and other wire-to-wire and wire-to-board power applications The Mini-Fit, BMI features an innovative panel mounting design that offers easy insertion and removal of panels, and has twice the panel retention force (up to 881N) as standard ear-type panel-mount housings

It is easily mounted to a standard panel opening be means of a rugged thumb latch.

The receptacle's housing is constructed of a durable polyester that is strong enough for the heavy wires used in higher circuit count interconnects.

This durable housing requires no moisturisation to prevent breakage.

Fully isolated terminals protect contacts from damage.

Polarisation prevents mismating.

This Molex receptacle, with its blind mate interface, floats in a panel cutout up to 1.27mm in x-y direction to self align with the mating flange of Mini-Fit, BMI plugs as well as Mini-Fit, BMI, Mini-Fit, SMC and Mini-Fit, CPI headers.

It uses standard Mini-Fit series female crimp terminals and application tooling.

No hardware or special tools are needed for installation.
