Power connectors meet SSI specifications
The new DPS/MPS power connectors from Molex meet the Server System Infrastructure (SSI) open specifications for backplanes.
The 1.50mm Plateau HS Dock connectors are available in multiple configurations, including a right angle receptacle to either a right angle or vertical plug that is intermateable and interchangeable.
With their robust contact design, the Plateau HS Dock connectors feature four levels of mating to be used in hot pluggable applications, as well as a compliant pin for the PCB interface.
These high-speed connectors offer increased design flexibility with their offset heights.
Plus, they also include a low mating force, guide features and mating in a standard or inverted position.
"Molex integrated its cutting-edge plated gold housing technology into the Plateau HS Dock connector design to give customers a high-performance connector that provides multiple design options", said Adam Houston, Product Manager, Connector Products Division, Molex.
"With the plated gold housing feature and its offset heights, the Plateau HS Dock connectors offer increased speed and enhanced design flexibility to the telecommunications and computer server market".
The Plateau HS Dock connectors include additional features such as: multiple design options for differential signalling (144, 120, 108, and 72 circuit sizes available); two points of contact for a robust and reliable contact interface; a compliant pin that delivers advantages versus through hole and surface mount technology (SMT); and guide features to ensure proper mating.
