Engineers can achieve a stable and convenient means to test small form-factor pluggable (SFP) and small form factor (SFF) devices with the new LC Loopback assembly from Molex The LC Loopback assembly complements a wide range of Molex's LC products and is well-suited for telecommunication applications, such as: high-speed device, server and router testing; storage applications, such as ATM, Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet testing; and other market applications, such as device burn-in, lab testing and troubleshooting

Save space with shrinking USB connectors
The new series of mini-BTM USB connectors from Molex take up only about 1/8th of the space of standard USB-B connectors.
Power connectors meet SSI specifications
The new DPS/MPS power connectors from Molex meet the Server System Infrastructure (SSI) open specifications for backplanes.
The LC Loopback assembly incorporates a durable thumb latch and contoured grip for easy assembly and removal, and its compact size eliminates interference during installation in ganged and belly-to-belly applications.
The assembly features a protected fibre loop to prevent damage to the fibre during use and handling.
Available in single-mode, multimode 50/125um and multimode 6.25/125um fibre sizes, the system also has attenuated single-mode versions that allow for use with higher power transceivers to eliminate detector saturation or simulate a longer fibre path for network testing.
"Having a convenient way to test devices is important; however, it is equally important that the a connector system fit properly in tight areas and withstand the assembly and removal process without damaging the components", said David Rifkin, Product Marketing Manager, Fiber Optics Group, Molex.
"With its rugged and compact design, coupled with a protected fibre loop, the LC Loopback assembly provides our customers with all of these features".
The LC Loopback assembly ensures a high level of quality and performance through 100% optical testing.
Plus, its overall length is less than a jacketed LC connector, allowing for ample door clearance.
