Mini-PCI compliant inverted right angle modjack
Molex has launched the latest in its line of modular jacks (modjacks) - its Mini-PCI compliant inverted right angle modjack, offering excellent signal reliability and flexibility.
Available in three configurations - a right-angle version with an ultralow profile, an SMT version and an inverted version with a top latch jack - the custom-coloured Modular Jacks meet several different design requirements.
They are easily identifiable and well suited for a variety of network system, consumer and office/home equipment applications.
Plus, they can be used as a designated test port in systems for troubleshooting.
"Mismating has become an ongoing challenge for many industries".
"As a result, standards are being set that require modular jacks to match the colour of its cable counterparts".
"For example, the DSL modem industry is investigating a standard that would require RJ45 cable assemblies and modular jacks to be manufactured in yellow", said Alexandre Martineau, Product Marketing Manager, Molex.
"As each industry sets its own colour standards, Molex will continue to expand upon its Modular Jack colour options to accommodate our customers' ever-changing design needs".
