Molex is continuing to expand its SFP product line to create the market's broadest range of SFP products available.

Molex is continuing to expand its SFP product line to create the market's broadest range of SFP products available.

The company's SFP product family offers the SFP Ganged Cages, SFP Stacked Multi-Port Connectors and the SFP Pluggable Multi-Port Stacked Cage Assemblies to meet the industry's higher packaging density needs for a variety of networking and datacommunication equipment applications.

The SFP products will be displayed by Molex on Booth 200 during DesignCon 2005 being held in Santa Clara, California until 3rd February 2005.

"As networking and data communications equipment increasingly requires higher bandwidth, our customers need to increase their system's packaging density to accommodate these changes", said Jay Neer, Strategic Product Manager, Molex.

"Molex's SFP product family meets this demand, but also offers a wide selection of products to satisfy our customers' wide range of application needs".

The SFP product line offers flexibility and an affordable cost.

Pricing for the SFP product line varies by product and quantity.

For example, the 1-by-6 SFP Ganged Cages cost $1.25 per port at volumes of 1000.

With a lightpipe cover, pricing is $2.00 per port at volumes of 1000.
