The Xpress termination kit offers fast and reliable LC, SC and ST connector terminations for optical local area networks.

New from Molex, the Xpress termination kit offers fast and reliable LC, SC and ST connector terminations for optical local area networks (LANs) With an operational temperature from -10 to +60C, the Xpress termination kit is ideal for use with indoor applications, such as bare fibre device testing, and datacommunications systems, such as LANs, data networks and fibre restoration

The Xpress termination kit is electricity-free, making termination fast and easy.

Complete with 12 connectors, adhesive, accelerant, stripping template and an abbreviated termination procedure, it provides a complete solution with the convenience of a multiconnector pack.

Requiring minimal time and effort, the kit installs in approximately three minutes, up to 50% faster than standard heat cured connector processes.

By applying a drop of accelerant onto the connector endface and placing the adhesive directly onto the fibre, the user creates an almost instantaneous bond between the fibre and ceramic ferrule.

In addition to these features, the adhesive does not require measuring, mixing, nor an applicator or heat curing, which allows even faster installation time.

"Many standard termination kits require additional fixturing or specialised tooling, which can be costly and involve additional time", said Dave Rifkin, Product Marketing Manager, Molex.

"The Xpress termination kit offers a reliable solution that includes everything from connectors to a quick, low-maintenance adhesive, and uses standard fibre optic assembly tooling, all of which save our customers time and applied costs".
