A new MOST straight junction box offers a lead-free solution for a vast range of multimedia networking car entertainment and accessory systems.

Molex has a new MOST (Media Oriented System Transport) straight junction box that offers a lead-free solution for a vast range of multimedia networking car entertainment and accessory systems Molex's new junction box has been designed as the interface connector between the car media electronics and the harness that connects many types of devices from speakers to amplifiers

Molex played a pivotal role in bringing about a common standard for such applications.

The MOST junction box complies with MOST specifications, and has been developed as a drop in replacement for competitor parts, so can also be used with competitor harnesses.

The MOST straight junction box provides the transport industry with one of the only straight versions available on the market.

Molex has also designed many custom right angle versions to fit applications where the straight option wasn't suitable.

The new junction box has the ability to interface not only with consumer automotive devices such as car stereos and navigation systems, but also transport nonautomotive items such as audio systems for lorries or agricultural equipment, as well as entertainment systems for the marine sector.

It is available on the market with a 15.0A capability, but it can be provided with 10.0A fuses assembled if required.

A mini-PCB assembly is also available as an option.

The MOST straight junction box housing is PA6 30% GF.

It includes sixteen 2.8 x 0.61mm spade terminals for power, two fuse terminals and 24 of the 0.61mm square signal pins for signals.

All dimensions and specifications comply with the MOST standards.
