Fibre connectors gain environmental
protection
A new connector system features assemblies with push-pull insertion and a bayonet-style mechanical latch to ensure an environmentally sealed optical connection in just one simple step.

These include: industrial applications, such as system controls, monitoring, high EMI and RFI areas; medical equipment applications; telecommunications/CATV applications, such as FTTx and outdoor system connections; as well as various rugged test equipment, mobile broadcasting, or audio visual equipment and food processing applications.

"With its high performance fibre optic connection and rugged industrial design that offers optimal environmental protection, the Optical Industrial LC Duplex connector system offers customers a complete solution to the standard telecomms or datacomms cables that would not normally function in wet, dirty and dusty environments".
The assemblies are 100% optically tested and the connector is designed to Telcordia GR-326-Core to ensure quality optical performance.
The multimode fibre option is well-suited for long distance or remote connections up to 300m, and the single-mode fibre option is ideal for distances over 1km.
