Interface modules bring field wiring
onboard
New interface modules provide a cost effective method to interface field wiring to PLCs and other control devices.
The new 39170 series interface modules from Molex provide a cost effective method to interface field wiring to PLCs and other control devices Molex's new DIN-rail mounted devices have been developed to connect a high-density cable from a PLC or electronic control system to terminal blocks where wiring from field devices is terminated

Save space with shrinking USB connectors
The new series of mini-BTM USB connectors from Molex take up only about 1/8th of the space of standard USB-B connectors.
Power connectors meet SSI specifications
The new DPS/MPS power connectors from Molex meet the Server System Infrastructure (SSI) open specifications for backplanes.
In order to respond more effectively to Molex's customers' demands, the connections between the high-density PLC cable and the terminal blocks are prewired on a printed circuit board.
The result is a significant reduced wiring time as much as 50%, as well as a quicker checkout of new control systems and faster troubleshooting of installed systems.
The 39170 series also offers space savings of up to 60% compared with standard DIN rail terminal blocks, and allows a lower total installation cost.
Highly versatile for a number of industries and types of control systems, the new modules are ideally suited for a vast range of applications from industrial control equipment such as PLCs and motion controllers, to machine builder applications such as packaging and milling machines, and are also tailored for material handling equipment including conveyor systems and elevators, or transportation applications such as signal control, railway switching and jetway systems.
Interface modules support from 9 to 50 circuits per module, and offer design flexibility with a choice of connection methods.
The modules are available with fixed or pluggable terminal blocks, and the PLC/controller interface is available with a ribbon cable connector or a D-sub connector.
Clear terminal markings help eliminate wiring errors, and reliable connections are assured using rising cage clamp technology.
