At Electronica 2006 Molex show its latest and most innovative interconnection products ranging from interface modules to connector assemblies.

Molex, which recently acquired Woodhead Industries, is a global manufacturer of interconnect solutions.

Over the past 68 years, Molex's portfolio has become one of the world's largest with over 100,000 products including everything from electronic, electrical and fibre optic interconnect solutions to switches and application tooling.

Visitors to Electronica 2006 will be able to see a selection of these products including Molex's high speed connectors and cable assemblies that support the External PCI Express standards.

Molex are the first interconnect company to develop such a product offering which includes a full line of high-speed connectors and cable assemblies that are specifically designed to support the new, multi-purpose, hot-pluggable input/output (I/O) interface standard for the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Express.

Also on show will be Molex's expanded MX150L offering, with 8, 10 and 12 AWG wire-to-wire connectors to support large wire AWG applications.

These newly available connectors are well-suited for high power, rugged applications including agriculture, construction and marine equipment, as well as recreational vehicles.

The integral two-way, silicone-based mat-seal on the mating connectors is specifically designed and tested to IEC IP67.

This feature enables the MX150L product family to exceed waterproof demands as a true sealed connector system tested under submersed conditions in various fluids.

The newly added AWG connectors also have high connector forces, increased terminal retention forces and superior electrical and mechanical performance capabilities.

Throughout the exhibition, experts from Molex will be on Stand 336 in Hall B4 to demonstrate the new products and to give advice on the benefits that Molex's technology can provide in visitors' own applications.
