RJ45 connectors are suitable for front-of-board mounting, and can be conveniently fitted after all soldering operations on the board are complete.

With a mounting height of just 7.6mm above the PCB, the new Super-Flat RJ45 compression jacks from Molex offer solderless straddle-mount installation, eliminating the need for specific soldering processes and for separate press-fit operations.

In addition, solderless installation simplifies PCB design by removing the requirement for pin holes, as well as making it easier to recycle end-of-life equipment.

An ideal choice for high density applications, Molex Super-Flat RJ45 connectors are suitable for front-of-board mounting, and can be conveniently fitted after all soldering operations on the board are complete.

To meet the requirements of Advanced Mezzanine Card and other multi-port systems, they can readily be ganged in four-port metal frames.

The connectors are shielded to provide high levels of EMI/RFI protection and, to further increase their versatility, they are optionally available with integral light pipes for signal detection.

Supplied in tray packs, Super-Flat RJ45 connectors mate with all standard RJ45 plugs that conform to IEC60603-7.

They have a durability rating of 750 mating cycles, and a working voltage of 56.5V at up to 1.5A.

The contact resistance of the connectors is 25mohm or less, and their insulation resistance is at least 500Mohm.

The contact areas of Molex Super-Flat RJ45 connectors are 2um gold plated to ensure reliable and consistent performance, and the housings are manufactured from high-grade LCP which has a UL94V0 flammability rating.

The operating temperature range of the connectors is -55 to +105C.
