SMT headers suit lead-free soldering
Picoflex Vertical SMT headers from Molex can withstand reflow at temperatures up to 260C.
The new connectors, available in tin- and gold-plated versions, are compatible with all standard Picoflex headers with between 4 and 26 circuits.
For ease of mating and unmating, they are provided with integral finger grip tabs that eliminate the need to use extraction tools.
The resulting savings in time are particularly valuable in OEM applications.
Picoflex discrete wire connectors feature a robust crimp terminal design for which hand and semi-automatic crimp tools are available.
For medium- and high-volume applications, the connectors can also be used with Molex Mini Mac crimp applicators, which are compatible with industry-standard presses.
The operating temperature range for the new Molex Picoflex discrete wire connectors is -40 to +105C, making them suitable for almost all industrial, commercial and domestic applications, and they meet UL94V0 flammability criteria.
They have a maximum contact resistance of 15mohm, and a minimum insulation resistance of 1Gohm.
Their dielectric strength rating is 750V AC.
