Faster turnaround for submicron chip designs
Monterey Design Systems has released version 1.5 of Dolphin, its complete physical design solution.
"Europe is a very strong market for SoC design solutions because of the large, vertically integrated companies that focus on system design", stated Maria Adolf, vice president of European operations at Monterey.
"Monterey's SDPD solution offers a comprehensive set of capabilities that are critical to the implementation of complex SoC designs".
"In the past year, we achieved a number of important milestones in Europe", continued Adolf.
"Several customers completed their first tape outs with the Dolphin physical implementation system, including a one-and-a-half million gate chip at Infineon Technologies Orion and multiple other designs at other customers in Europe and Israel.
The count of IC Wisard tapeouts, already numbering in the dosens, continues to grow at an accelerating rate.
We saw the first customer usage of our complete System-Driven Physical Design solution.
We also closed our first multi-million dollar subscription renewal, increased our revenues by more than 100%, and doubled the headcount of our sales and support staff, which included the successful opening of an office in Israel where we already have multiple customers".
