Monterey Design Systems will present an in-depth, hands-on tutorial covering the challenges of integration and reuse of semiconductor intellectual property at the Design Automation and Test in Europe show next week in Paris In addition, Monterey will host a vendor presentation and floor exhibition demonstrating its System-Driven Physical Design solution for complex system-on-chip implementation

Monterey Design Systems has released version 1.5 of Dolphin, its complete physical design solution.
Tutorial participants will use Synplicity's Synplify ASIC software to configure and synthesise an IP block, followed by Monterey IC Wizard and Sonar to generate multiple design plans of the IP block and evaluate the design plans in terms of area, timing and routability.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants will have a better understanding of the challenges of integrating configurable IP, and an introduction to a new generation of automated solutions that will help them to reap the benefits of configurable IP.
