Monolithic Power Systems is claiming a breakthrough product in terms of power, functionality and size, developed using its BCD Plus process technology The MP2360, a cutting-edge 24V, 1.8A, nonsynchronous step-down regulator, is packaged in a tiny 2 x 2mm QFN8

The 1.4MHz operating frequency minimises the size of external components resulting in the smallest overall footprint in its class.

The MP2360 operates from an input voltage between 4.5 and 24V with operating efficiency in excess of 90%.

An externally adjustable output voltage range of 0.8 to 15V makes the MP2360 ideal for a wide variety of applications ranging from broadband communications equipment to digital entertainment systems.
