Metrowerks' CodeWarrior tools provide navigation, editing and debugging capabilities for DSP56800-based embedded systems.
It includes an intuitive graphical project management and build system, highly optimised C compiler that is engineered to ensure small code size and fast execution time, assembler, linker, graphical source level debugger and an advanced instruction-set simulation that enables software design ahead of hardware.
As an independent subsidiary of Motorola, Metrowerks provides the industry's broadest development tool support for Motorola architectures.
With the purchase of one of the following DSP56800 EVM kits, customers will receive the Metrowerks CodeWarrior for DSP56800 IDE: DSP56F824EVM, DSP56F801EVM, DSP56F803EVM, DSP56F805EVM, DSP56F807EVM, DSP56F826EVM or DSP56F827EVM.
EVMs are available now through authorised distributors for $299.00 USD; the DSPF824EVM is available for $150.00 USD (all prices are suggested list price).
In addition, customers who purchase a Metrowerks one-year Standard Embedded Support Package are also eligible for the complimentary Metrowerks CodeWarrior for DSP56800 IDE.
Metrowerks technical support is available through the purchase of the one-year Standard Embedded Support Package, priced at $500.00 USD (suggested list price).
