Freescale rewrites technology roadmap
post-Crolles
Freescale has been assessing its technology strategy and remains committed to 300mm technology and manufacturing.
Following NXP's announcement to terminate the Crolles2 Alliance on expiration of the initial contract term, the Alliance between NXP, Freescale and ST Microelectronics will terminate effective 31st December 2007 Freescale has been part of a long and fruitful partnership with ST, NXP and TSMC in Crolles
Leveraging the Alliance, Freescale, NXP, ST and TSMC have successfully collaborated on advanced CMOS, differentiating options, packaging development, libraries and memories, as well as 300mm manufacturing.
Freescale has been assessing its technology strategy and remains committed to 300mm technology and manufacturing.
The company is excited about its future technology roadmap, and expects to share details of its plans shortly.
