Motorola prefers Freescale
Motorola has reaffirmed its strategic relationship with Freescale Semiconductor by selecting the Austin-based company as a preferred supplier of 2G and 3G chipset platforms through 2009.
Motorola has reaffirmed its strategic relationship with Freescale Semiconductor by selecting the Austin-based company as a preferred supplier of 2G and 3G chipset platforms through 2009 "Freescale is an important supplier of chipset solutions for several new handset designs that we'll announce in the future", said Ron Garriques, President of Motorola's Mobile Devices business

Motorola incorporates Freescale chipset solutions into several of the world's most popular handset designs, including Motorazr, Motopebl, Motoslvr and Motokrzr K1.
