Mouser Electronics now stocks Antenova's high-performance antennas and RF antenna modules for mobile handsets, portable devices and laptop computers.

Mouser Electronics has signed a distribution agreement with Antenova to stock the manufacturer's high-performance antennas and RF antenna modules for mobile handsets, portable devices, and laptop computers.

Antenova's patented High Dielectric Antenna (HDA) and balanced antenna technologies enable integrated antennas and RF antenna modules to be smaller, higher in efficiency, operate across multiple bands, and offer more robust performance.

"Antenova looks forward to working with Mouser to further grow our customer base in North America", says David Nuti, Antenova's North American Sales Manager.

"This relationship will help address the continued growing interest in Antenova's integrated antenna solutions and further underpins our commitment to providing customers with the best high-performance antennas and RF antenna modules for mobile handset, portable devices, and laptop applications".

According to Mike Scott, Mouser Vice President of Active Products, the distributor welcomes the opportunity to penetrate new markets and increase new customers for Antenova by introducing its innovative antenna solutions to Mouser's engineering customers.

"Our engineering customers' design projects require rapid introduction of the newest products and technologies available in the marketplace", Scott says.

"By adding Antenova's innovative, patented antenna products to our linecard, we're able to quickly introduce the brand to a new segment of the engineering community".

Mouser will stock a variety of Antenova's antennas, including the company's industry-leading single-ended internally balanced GPS antenna, as well as the gigaNova family of short-range wireless antennas including Mica, Comata, Rufa, Impexa, Flavus and Titanis.

The Giganova antennas for the GPS, 2.4, and 5GHz bands offer ease of integration into short-range wireless devices and are the smart choice for GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wibree and Zigbee applications.

The GPS antenna is a single-ended, internally balanced GPS antenna in a small 20.1 x 9x 1.6mm package.

This antenna is more reliable, cost effective, and higher performing than larger, bulkier, and more costly patch antennas.

It only requires a PCB with a minimum groundplane of 20 x 30mm for efficient operation, and is suitable for a range of portable device applications.
