Harvard patent to improve laser designs
Patent licence covers UV laser sources based on the harmonic wavelength conversion of the output of a seeded amplifier.
Mobius Photonics has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Harvard University regarding US Patent 5,745,284 The patent is based on the pioneering work of Lew Goldberg, Dahv Kliner and Jeffrey Koplow

Fluorescence filter patent awarded
Semrock, a leading provider of high-performance optical filters, announced today that it has been awarded U.S.Patent No. 6,809,859 for its popular BrightLine series of fluorescence filters.
It broadly covers UV laser sources based on the harmonic wavelength conversion of the output of a seeded amplifier, particularly a fibre amplifier.
According to Dr Laura Smoliar, CEO of Mobius Photonics: "Because of the telecom bubble, the technology described in this patent lay dormant for years, but it is now commercially viable".
