New alliance improves customer support
MPC Data has been invited into the Renesas Global Alliance programme for its track record in working with Renesas, and its microcontroller and microprocessor families.

The move, which recognises the company's long-standing relationship with Renesas, will provide developers and OEMs using the SH family with a recognised expert partner to help them get their products to market, quickly, with reduced risk and low cost.
The Global Alliance program Platinum level selects "best of breed" companies with proven Renesas devices skill sets.
MPC Data has been working with the SH family of devices since the early 1990s, and has provided professional embedded software services to Renesas and its end customers across a wide range of products and markets.
Kevin Heawood, Strategic Development Director, said: "Being a Platinum level member of The Global Alliance programme and working closely with Renesas will enable MPC Data to provide in depth support to clients using the SH family of Processors and Controllers".
MPC Data has also hosted the www.shlinux.com website since 2003, providing support and knowledge for Renesas SH devices.
As part of the new Global Alliance program, this site will be upgraded and customers will now be able to buy development tools as well as accessing Linux code to provide a more complete development experience.
Phil Buckley, MPC Data's Embedded Linux Group Director, commented: "By working closely with Renesas as part of this programme, we will be able to provide board support packages and professional engineering services for the latest SH devices as they become available for new designs".
MPC Data is also a Windows Embedded Partner programme Gold level member offering Microsoft Windows Embedded services, real-time embedded OS, embedded application development and professional software services from technical support through application integration to full product development based around all devices in the SuperH RISC engine Family.
