The TA7501 supports slim type mobile phones by offering distinctive wide viewing angles and 262k colours.

MagnaChip Semiconductor, a leading global designer, developer and manufacturer of image sensor solutions, mixed-signal and digital multimedia semiconductors, today announced the launch of its optimised TA7501 product designed for use in mobile phone displays The unique TA7501 product supports slim type mobile phones by offering distinctive wide viewing angles and 262k colours

Specifically, to support the wide viewing angles, this product offers multiple features, including in-plane switching, multidomain vertical alignment, patterned vertical alignment, and advanced fringe field switching.

Further, the product has VCOM calibration with built-in non-volatile memory and reduced cross-talk noise.

Davis Mok, Vice President of Marketing in MagnaChip's Display Solutions Division, commented, "In today's marketplace, many existing QVGA solutions fall behind in providing TFT panels for wide viewing angles".
