Filters smooth out medium power bricks
SAE has developed a family of DC filters designed for use with industry-standard medium-power brick DC/DC convertors.
The units are optimised for use with high-frequency power brick DC/DC convertors.
They are built for printed-circuit-board mounting and offer excellent common-mode and differential-mode filtering, allowing power modules to meet FCC and EN55022 (CISPR22) requirements.
Common-mode isolation voltage is 1500V DC.
The filters have a rated differential input voltage of 75V DC and the maximum differential input voltage is at 100V DC or peak.
The operating case temperature range is from -40 to +100C.
The filters are UL, CSA and TUV listed.
Their MTBF is calculated for 17Mh.
Typical common-mode insertion loss (50ohm circuit) is 36dB at 10A and 500kHz, and 32dB at 20A and 500kHz.
Typical differential-mode insertion loss for a 50ohm circuit at 10A is 50dB at 500kHz and 36dB at 20A and 500kHz.
Dimensions are 50.8 x 27.9 x 15.2mm for the 10A filter and 50.8 x 40.6 x 17.8mm for the 20A filter (both including pins).
