High-current inductors keep a low
profile
A new series of low-profile surface-mount high current inductors from CWS are based on flat helix wires that can handle currents up to 70A.
A new series of low-profile surface-mount high current inductors from CWS are based on flat helix wires that can handle currents up to 70A The Kapton-based wire's insulation is rated at 250C
The inductance range is from 0.6 to 1.0uH.
The DCR of these high current inductors is from 0.6 to 2.45mohm.
The PQ shaped ferrite cores used are low loss, gapped, manganese zinc with permeability of 2000.
The height of these low profile inductor ranges from 7.24 up to 11.43mm, with a footprint of 27.9 x 30.5mm.
The inductors are available bulk packaged or in tape and reel packaging, and are ideal for applications as differential-mode output chokes or as planar inductors.
Custom designs are available for other inductances and current ratings.
