Hittite Microwave Corp has released two new SMT packaged MMIC VCOs with integrated buffer amplifiers, available from MRC Components.

Hittite Microwave Corp has released two new SMT packaged MMIC VCOs with integrated buffer amplifiers, available from MRC Components.

Complementing HMC's existing line of monolithic VCOs, the HMC505LP4 covers 6.8 to 7.4GHz, and delivers +11 dBm of output power, with a SSB phase noise of -106dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset.

The HMC506LP4 covers 7.8 to 8.7GHz and offers +14dBm output power with a SSB phase noise of -103dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset.

Both VCOs operate from a single +3V supply and integrate the varactor, negative resistance circuit, resonator and buffer amplifier on a single HBT MMIC.

Each product is housed in a standard 4 x 4mm QFN SMT plastic package with identical PCB assignments.

Hittite also offers custom designed MMIC VCOs, PLOs and complete synthesiser modules for specific customer requirements.

Samples and evaluation PC boards are available from stock.
