A GaAs MMIC positive control T/R switch and a high IP3 GaAs MMIC mixer suit WiMAX, fixed wireless, cellular/3G and test and measurement applications from DC to 6GHz.

Hittite Microwave Corp has released a GaAs MMIC positive control T/R switch and a high IP3 GaAs MMIC mixer for WiMAX, fixed wireless, cellular/3G and test and measurement applications from DC to 6GHz.

The HMC536MS8G is a positive control, DC to 6GHz, GaAs MMIC T/R switch in an 8-lead MSOP8G SMT package with an exposed ground paddle.

This switch is ideal for WiMAX and fixed wireless applications, featuring low 0.5dB insertion loss and high 26dB isolation.

Power handling is excellent up through 6GHz with a P1dB compression point of +37dBm, and +52dBm input IP3.

HMC536MS8G offers 30ns switching speeds and operates with either 3 or 5V control logic.

The HMC214MS8 is a high IP3 GaAs MMIC mixer in an 8-lead MSOP SMT package and covers 2.4-4.0GHz.

Excellent input IP3 performance of +34dBm for down-conversion, and +31dBm for up-conversion is provided for WiMAX and other 3.5GHz fixed wireless applications.

The HMC214MS8 offers wide IF bandwidth of DC to 1GHz and high LO to IF and LO to RF isolations of 25 to 30dB, while requiring no external matching components and no DC bias.

RoHS compliant versions of these products are available as the HMC536MS8GE and the HMC214MS8E.

Samples and evaluation PC boards are available from stock and can be ordered from MRC Components.
