Hittite Microwave Corp has introduced the first wideband GaAs MMIC switch within the company's connectorised module product line.

Hittite Microwave Corp has introduced the first wideband GaAs MMIC switch within the company's connectorised module product line.

The HMC-C011 nonreflective SPDT switch module is ideal for military EW/ECM, space, wideband telecomms, industrial, microwave radio and test equipment applications from DC to 20GHz.

The HMC-C011 is a rugged DC to 20GHz, nonreflective SPDT switch in a connectorised hermetic housing with field replaceable SMA connectors.

This high performance switch offers 2dB insertion loss, 35 to 65dB isolation and +23dBm input P1dB.

An integrated high speed CMOS driver enables extremely fast 1.3ns rise and fall times with low video transients of 10mV.

The HMC-C011 operates from a single +5V supply and consumes only 1.4mA of bias current.

The connectorised module product line uses Hittite's standard wideband MMIC products taking advantage of the company's design, manufacturing and quality knowledge base.
