Three new SMT packaged GaAs MMIC double balanced mixers are ideal for up-convertor and down-convertor applications from 14 to 32GHz.

Hittite Microwave Corp has released three new SMT packaged GaAs MMIC double balanced mixers that are ideal for up-convertor and down-convertor applications in Vsat, microwave radio, test equipment and industrial/automotive sensor applications from 14 to 32GHz.

The HMC260LC3B, HMC292LC3B and HMC329LC3B passive MMIC double-balanced mixers exhibit conversion loss as low as 7.5dB, and Input IP3 as high as +21dBm, while on-chip balun structures enable LO to IF and LO to RF isolations as high as 40dB.

Each mixer operates with an LO drive level as low as +9dBm, and offers wide IF bandwidth of DC - 8GHz.

Requiring no DC voltage and no external matching circuitry, these passive double balanced mixers are versatile enough to cover all microwave radio bands from 14 to 32GHz with a common package pinout.

The HMC260LC3B, HMC292LC3B and HMC329LC3B are housed in "Pb free" and RoHS compliant 3 x 3mm leadless SMT packages.

Samples and evaluation PC boards are available from stock and can be ordered from MRC Components.
